Manchester Vermont’s Luxbrush Painting Company is as passionate about finding a cure for breast cancer as it is about quality painting. Since its one-man beginning in 2000, southern Vermont’s preeminent painting company has grown to include over 20 field employees, some of whom possess decades of carpentry and painting experience. Regardless of its size, however, the Luxbrush crew has always been ready to pin Komen’s pink ribbon onto their painter’s whites.

Whether physically running in the Race itself or donating money and services to the cause, Luxbrush’s commitment to the Vermont-New Hampshire Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure has remained strong for years. Teaming up with its sister company, Black Magic Chimney Sweeps of Southern Vermont, Luxbrush donated over $4,000 worth of service vouchers to the 2011 Race for the Cure’s Silent Auction.

Additionally, this past year, the two companies erected a large white board at their Race site Sponsors Booth and pledged to donate $1 for every signature gathered on the board. Armed with markers and pens, over 650 people gave their autographs to the cause.

Harry Lux, the owner of both companies, was very happy with the turnout and is already dreaming up ways for Luxbrush to help paint the town pink next year. Learn more about Luxbrush Painting and Black Magic Chimney Sweeps at luxbrush.com and blackmagicchimneysweep.com.
